On September 27th 2018, Dealer Principal Frank Howard welcomed Premier Dwight Ball, Major Danny Breen, President and CEO of Hyundai Canada Don Romano, and other guests to the groundbreaking of the new home of Capital Hyundai, 515 Kenmount Road.
Upon completion in 2020, the new Capital Hyundai dealership will be more than double its current size at over 68,000 square feet, and the largest Hyundai dealership in Canada.
A new, premium sales department will see updates in the form of a 15-car showroom and 4-car delivery bay, premium furniture, customer lounges, as well as digital kiosks, tablets, and wheel stands that enhance and facilitate the customer shopping experience.
The interior will incorporate plants and indoor trees to bring natural, environmental elements into the showroom space. The flooring will mimic and support the perception of a natural landscape.
To better serve our customers in all Newfoundland weather conditions, a 3-lane service drive-thru will be constructed for convenient and efficient check-in along with a quick lube station for instant fluid top-up. In our shop, capacity will nearly double to over 30 technician bays to allow for shorter wait times.
The new facility design reflects a Global Dealership Space Identity (GDSI) initiative being introduced to all Hyundai dealerships around the world. The facility will feature over 750 parking spots to accommodate our growing customer base and support our projected sales of approximately 2,000 new and pre-owned vehicles per year.
We are actively exploring a rooftop renewable solar and wind energy source as per Newfoundland Power’s New Metering.
